Falcon Signature Brownies

The Falcon signature brownies are the perfect pieces of indulgence; soft, gooey and chocolatey. They really do taste fantastic and are sure to become a firm family favourite. 

Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 150g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 225g castor sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 100g plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method

  1. Place the butter and chocolate in a pan; place over over a low heat to allow butter and chocolate to melt, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a jug, mix together the sugar, the eggs and the vanilla essence and beat until combined.
  3. When the chocolate and butter have melted take the pan off the heat and allow to the mixture to cool slightly.
  4. Pour the egg and sugar mixture into the pan and thoroughly mix with butter/chocolate mixture.
  5. Next add the flour and the salt and mix well to form a smooth paste.
  6. Pour the brownie mixture into a greased baking tin.
  7. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C (fan oven).
  8. Remove the tin from the oven and allow to cool.
  9. If serving with ice cream, leave to cool for 5-10 minutes.
    If serving cold, leave to cool until you can handle, remove from tin and place on wire rack to fully cool.
  10. Cut into small squares, serve and enjoy!
